Cost-Sharing Programs

Many states, such as Florida, and federal agencies offer cost-share programs to help farmers and ranchers pay for equipment that improves soil health, boosts forage growth, and protects water quality. In Florida, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Best Management Practices (BMP) Cost-Share Program covers up to 75–90% of the cost for eligible equipment—including RanchWorx® pasture aerators. But Florida isn’t the only place you can save!

Here are some great opportunities to explore:

  • Florida BMP Cost-Share Program – Up to 90% reimbursement for eligible BMP equipment. RanchWorx can qualify under Nutrient Management Implements/Manure Spreader. Final decision local. LEARN MORE/APPLY
  • USDA EQIP (Nationwide) – Up to 75% (90% for historically underserved producers) on conservation practices. If used as part of pasture/pasture renovation or grazing land mechanical treatment, RanchWorx aligns with qualifications. Site-specific approval required. LEARN MORE/APPLY
  • Agricultural Management Assistance Program (Available in 16 designated states) – Covers up to 75% of implementation costs, or even up to 90% for historically underserved producers. Annual payment limit is $50,000 per participant per fiscal year. Producers must be engaged in livestock or agriculture production. Final decision is local.  LEARN MORE/APPLY
  • Virginia Agricultural BMP Cost-Share Program (VACS)– Cost-share rates up to 50% – 100% for certain practices. Farmers can receive up to $300,000 in state cost-share funding for implementing over 60 best management practices. These voluntary practices protect water quality and provide a long-term boost to an operation’s bottom line through increased productivity and reduced labor and input costs. Producers must be engaged in livestock or agriculture production. Ranchworx qualifies under Managing Nutrients and Animal Waste. Final decision is local. LEARN MORE/APPLY
  • North Carolina Agriculture Cost-Share Program (ACSP)– Up to 75% reimbursement through local districts. RanchWorx qualifies if included under Pasture Renovation, Residue and Tillage Management, or Sod-based Rotation. Final decision is local. LEARN MORE/APPLY
  • Chesapeake Bay Region Programs – Multiple state and local cost-share options to protect water quality. RanchWorx qualifies under the following conservation practices: 1.) Minimizing the physical, biological, and chemical disturbance of the soil. 2.) Keeping the soil covered with vegetation or natural material. 3.) Increasing plant diversity. 4.) Keeping living roots in the soil as much as possible. Final decision is local. LEARN MORE/APPLY

Whether you’re in Florida, Texas, or anywhere in the U.S., there may be a program to help you invest in a RanchWorx pasture aerator for a fraction of the price. Start by contacting your local USDA NRCS (Natural Resources Conservation Service) office or your county/state Soil and Water Conservation District—they can tell you about current cost-share opportunities in your area and help with applications. You can also check your state’s Department of Agriculture website for conservation or equipment cost-share programs.
